Honestly, though, I’ve never had a bad meal! Their steaks are also wonderful, and HUGE! I almost always leave with enough leftovers for another meal. Wings with Sweet Red Chili sauce (appetizer).They are known for their Gumbo family recipe. They also utilize lots of family recipes on their menu. I love the BBQ Brisket fajitas! They smoke many of their meats in-house, and have lots of homemade dishes on the menu. Knox and I usually choose to sit under the wide overhang – we know how unpredictable the weather can be up here! Bayou Smokehouse is known for its unique menu that combines typical Cajun fare with traditional Texan dishes. They have both covered and uncovered seating, plus a great patio with corn hole. They have water bowls ready for your pooch, as well as plenty of head scratches to go around! The staff is always very friendly and inviting, and work hard to make sure all the dogs on the deck comfortable. Our favorite place in Banner Elk for lunch or dinner is the Bayou Smokehouse & Grill.
